2024 Government Liaison Days
BCREA hosted the 2024 Government Liaison Days in Victoria from Sunday, March 10th to Tuesday, March 12th. The two day event was attended by the Chilliwack and District Real Estate Board’s Past President Brad Latham, President Steven Kelly and President Elect Emily Vernon (L-R).
Bringing together 65 attendees consisting of government relations (GR) staff and REALTOR® committee members from all of the regional boards/associations, BCREA GR staff, and Board Members, the event provided delegates an opportunity to hear from a wide range of speakers, learn about advocacy meeting best practices, and meet with their regional Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs)

Starting in mid June, members will be able to edit the status value within Paragon® from “Active” to “Active Under Contract” and back again.
Members - 54 days
Real estate transactions set to complete in an active wildfire zone may be delayed or collapse due to the inability of buyers to obtain property insurance (including fire coverage), and by extension, mortgage financing.
